StoryMap-in-a-Week

One ArcGIS StoryMap. Seven business days. $3,500.

Fixed scope, fixed price, no discovery call required. We build it inside your ArcGIS Online org so the asset is yours from day one. For teams who want a small, concrete piece of geospatial work shipped before committing to a larger engagement.

Stripe checkout · One-time payment · Refund if Diana declines scope

What is included

Everything you need to ship one StoryMap.

  • One Esri ArcGIS StoryMap (Cascade, Sidecar, or Map Tour template)
  • Up to 5 map layers from your data or public sources (NREL, USGS, Census, OpenStreetMap)
  • Narrative outline written by Diana before any map work — you approve before we build
  • Symbology, cartographic styling, legend, popups
  • Embed-ready URL and iframe snippet for your website or decks
  • One round of consolidated revisions
  • A 30-minute handoff call so your team can edit and extend it later
What is NOT included

Out of scope, on purpose.

The fixed price works because the scope is bounded. Anything below is a separate engagement — happy to scope a custom proposal.

  • More than one StoryMap (additional StoryMaps are $2,500 each within 30 days)
  • Custom layer authoring beyond 5 layers
  • Building an ArcGIS Online org for you (you need one to exist)
  • Long-form data ETL or geodatabase architecture
  • Custom web apps (Experience Builder, Web AppBuilder) or custom code
  • Stakeholder workshops or facilitation
  • Marketing materials beyond the StoryMap (decks, one-pagers, video)
Timeline

Seven business days, end to end.

The clock starts when your intake is complete. Diana reviews every intake before the build begins.

Day 0

You submit intake

After purchase, we send you a 6-field intake form. Submit within 5 business days to start the clock. ArcGIS Online org URL, temporary publisher login, narrative purpose, data sources.

Day 1

Diana drafts the narrative outline

A 3–5 section outline of what the StoryMap will say and show. You approve or send notes within 24 hours.

Day 2–4

We build

Layer authoring, cartographic styling, narrative writeup. All work happens inside your ArcGIS Online org so the asset is yours from day one.

Day 5

First draft + revisions

Staging URL goes to you. You send one consolidated revision pass within 24 hours. We apply.

Day 7

Handoff call

30 minutes. We walk through the StoryMap, how to edit it, how to extend layers. Published URL is transferred.

Who this is for.

You have a specific spatial story to tell, and the people who need to see it are not GIS analysts. They are boards, regulators, clients, funders, or community stakeholders.

You have ArcGIS Online but the StoryMap you need is sitting behind “when we get to it.” A senior pair of hands for one defined week of work would close the gap.

You want to evaluate working with us on something small, with real deliverables, before committing to a longer engagement. That is the entire point of this offer.

Questions

Things people ask us.

Why is the price fixed?

Because the scope is fixed. One StoryMap, up to 5 layers, one revision round, 7 business days. Anything outside that scope is a separate engagement (typically GeoConsult, scoped and quoted within 48 hours). The fixed price means you do not need a discovery call to know what this costs.

What if my project does not fit?

Diana reviews every intake before the 7-day clock starts. If the scope is wrong (more than 5 layers, custom development, or work outside our competence), we refund you in full and decline the engagement. Once the Day 1 outline is sent, refunds are no longer available because the work has started.

Where does the StoryMap live?

In your own ArcGIS Online organization. We do not host it on a GeoLever tenant. You give us a temporary publisher seat, we build inside your account, then you revoke our access after handoff. You own the asset on day one.

Do you provide the data?

Yes if you ask us to. We work with public datasets (NREL, EIA, USGS, Census, BLM, OpenStreetMap, FWS, state GIS portals) and can incorporate any data you provide. Custom dataset purchase is out of scope.

What if I want a second StoryMap?

Additional StoryMaps within 30 days of the first delivery are $2,500 each, same scope (up to 5 layers, 7-day delivery). After 30 days, we re-scope and quote.

Can this turn into ongoing work?

About 40–60% of starter clients move to GeoConsult or GeoPartner within 90 days. We do not pitch upgrades during the starter engagement. After delivery, we may send one follow-up email with options if it seems useful.
