Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Our commitment

GeoLever is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We work to ensure geolever.co meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and to continuously improve where it falls short.

Conformance status

The Site is designed to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the guidelines. We test against automated and manual standards on every significant release.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML throughout (proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions).
  • Color contrast meeting WCAG AA on text and interactive elements.
  • Keyboard navigation on all interactive controls.
  • Focus indicators visible on focused elements.
  • Alt text on images that carry information; decorative images marked with empty alt.
  • Form fields with associated labels; error messages associated with the field they describe.
  • Captions and transcripts for video content where used.
  • Dark mode + light mode, with a user toggle.
  • Reduced-motion support via prefers-reduced-motion where animations are present.

Known limitations

The following are areas we are actively working to improve:

  • Embedded third-party content (WordPress blog renderings, Esri StoryMap previews) may not always meet our internal accessibility standards. We review periodically and request remediation from vendors where applicable.
  • Some interactive diagrams use motion to convey relationships. Static fallbacks are provided where possible, but full equivalence on every visualization is an ongoing effort.

Assistive technology compatibility

The Site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
  • Recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge
  • iOS Safari + Android Chrome with built-in screen readers
